Mindful "Vinyl Friday" has, for the most part, remained wedded to Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie-Woogie type of music despite encouraging the posting of all types including so-called "Classical", I thought it would be nice to have somewhere to head where the aforementioned (or anything vaguely contemplative) may be found and when a SD thread gets too heated and the best thing to do is ‘chill’ rather than start another lets beat-up BASC or CP thread!

I’ll kick things off with this:

My offering. I find this soothing and I can play it over and over on repeat, much to my girlfriend’s dismay.

But you need to be in a positive mood. If you are prone to the black dog beware, if you a low in spirit this can induce a palpable melancholy.

Sunset Parade 1992 at Leeds Castle in Kent. An acre of fireworks and three of (my) 25 pounders for the last bit with the kettle drums.
Definitely something worth seeing if you have the chance. Still one of my favourite pieces of classical music.
