Sly as a fox eh!

Then a Fairy Wren (M) in the new plumage evolving after the moult.




And a raucous SCC bastard.



I did see three stags/boys feeding well away circa 700 yards and took a few ordinary pics.

Yes and even more so when in full blue breeding plumage SS.

When I was younger I often watched the hunt and quite often the hounds would put the fox in the withy bed near us and within a short while the fox would come out the end and make for the Farm yard, run trough the yard then through a flock of sheep then sit and look back to see where the hounds were.
The hounds were usually called off before they got to the yard except for the odd one or two which made it as far as the sheep field but did not enter, they then stopped and went back.
The fox must have known about this practice as it did it several times, whether it was the same fox or not I have no idea but the hounds never did catch that particular fox.
