Small Roe buck with blotches on lungs

I have been watching a small buck on the wildlife camera who appeared strangely still in full velvet.

I shot him yesterday. He was the smallest buck I’ve ever shot, in very good external condition just small, and was in his summer coat.

Upon gralloching, I noticed some blotches on his lungs. Not sure if it was anything significant or not, just wondered what the thoughts of the SD might be. No lesions, lumps or pus-filled bits and otherwise looked okay internally.

It doesn't look too bad on the face of it . look at the inside of the ribcage if you have doubts and most odd lung colours can be just lungworm. In short not enough to make a call on it , if you brought it back with the lungs etc get another more experienced person on it and then make the call good or bad

I'd agree these could be lungworm changes. If you can't feel lumps and all lymph nodes are normal it should be OK. Lungworm is not felt to be a problem, but some of the photos here show a lot of changes to the lungs so it might be a high burden affecting him (plus high gut worm count)
