Stoney creek very good smock.

There is a big problem with ridge line and that is the either logo on the chest. When using binos it flashes like a beacon. If you get one then buy a black sharpie as well

I use a Rivers West smock for wildfowling and really good for that. Stays nice and warm and dry when sitting for hours. However wouldn't have it as just a general use jacket I don't think, gets very sweaty if walking in it and once wet, takes quite some time to dry

I have had a couple of Fortis Smocks and think they are awesome bits of kit, the Field Pro which my wife has stolen and a Venator which I am actually thinking of getting rid of because it's gathering dust in a cupboard.

Smocks....seen a guy get stung a dozen times when a wasp or two dropped in for a visit.

Except when it leaks and the guy spends half an hour telling you why you shouldn’t expect it to be waterproof when you raise it with them the next time you see them at a show......one of the Phoenix meets in my case.


The day improved when two old boys asked if they could share my table in the cafe at lunchtime..... one of them turned out to be the venerable Alf Hagon.

Now he could ride a bike! And as it turned out...he was keen on his rifles too.
