Snare ban coming in Scotland

RIP ground nesting birds in acotkand
Even HH will suffer badly from this, let's face it there nest sites are essentially a midden.

FF are u sure about ur stats? Takes a bit of believing as many grouse chick's as that even at a few nests.
While Langholm 2 was a bit of a failure diversionary feeding did appear to work and bring grouse losses to next to zero

Like others have said a very sad but very very predictable result.

They talk about other methods but some of these big lumps of uplands it will be pretty dangerous trying to lamp over them.
Some bits are bad enough driving over yhe ground in daylight.

Ps wot happened about the muir burn?
Was there any extra restrictions put on it?
Must admit I'd say it's days are numbered, purely to get at the grouse shoots, just like every other law change.
From the hares, hunting with a gun pack, and snares

Nothing new or surprising here
Disappointing yes but hardly a surprise

Oh and remember how lurcher work got banned and no one gave a **** because it was only tramps that worked dogs ?

Well your next.

The Scottish government should be taken to court for their crimes on nature! They are blatantly making our endangered species extinct. If that were keepers or land managers doing so we would be in jail in a heart beat? they have no repercussions for their actions.
