Wanted: Solo highland stalking

Sounds like a great adventure - I remember being inspired watching the Pace brothers doing something similar on YouTube when I first started stalking. I’m lucky enough to stalk ground that I can camp out on - it makes being in position to intercept reds coming off agricultural land and heading back across the hill to the forestry at first light a little easier. It’s certainly not a wilderness experience, but there’s little to beat a lightweight tarp set up in a glade of birch trees, cooking food over a small fire with my dog for company. I’d strongly suggest looking at late autumn (great hearing the stags roaring while camping) or the start of the hind season - fewer midges and the generally cooler weather helps once you’ve shot something. Good luck 👍🏻
