I had a bit of an issue on my recent Moz trip with my 500. Right barrel firing all over the place. Anyway needs re regulating as I spotted it had become detached from the centre rib. Off to see Margarita to get it sorted. Just dropped it off and although probably 15 odd years since I was last there Ron Wharton’s workshop is exactly the same as it was. Stuff everywhere. Rifles. Heads. Skins. Machinery. Very evocative

I only met Ron a couple of times. He fixed a screw that I had heavy handedly buggered up on my Heym Ruger. That was quite a few years ago. Another chap who I heard had died a short while ago was, Alan Wey. I knew Alan from Back when he was a apprentice for H&H. He past away far to young as did Ron.
