Some recent Temu buys

Most of the stuff is the same as you would buy from amazon generic brands. Last Chrismas I bought my mother-in-law a heated gillet from Amazon and it was about £40, I checked it was all working and was impressed with it and started watching them in Temu and eventually bought one for £15 and quality was the same. Gun cleaning kits, self adhesive targets, shooting mat, scope covers were all decent.

People voted for Brexit, labour etc and then buy cheap crap from far east and undermine uk businesses trying to go through the hoops of importing and reselling with UK consumer protection.

Hello, As Triggertrix concern to buying British but where can you find those items in the UK made in UK ? At the price off Temu , I have a Temu account but only buy what i cannot find in UK or get from local Tackle shop, My last order was a Small Flask, 6 trout leaders, 3 types of Trout flies, Just over £15 post free and delivered in a week,

This - ans not any reflection on members choices but I for one don’t buy Chinese shite made knock offs

So difficult to avoid Chinese products when they are such a huge manufacturer of the goods Western countries want to buy.
If you have a product you want to bring to market, you may very well do the R&D in this country and get a saleable product produced in England, then it's off to the far eastern factories to find one to produce what you need the cheapest... good old fashioned Capitalism.

I'd definitely recommend Temu.
You just have to be cognisant of the fact that you roll the dice with regards to quality. You might get something which is below the standard that you would hope for it to be, but then you're paying a significantly lower price than you would otherwise so you have to just accept it. Also it's coming from China so don't expect next day delivery.
It's strategy for keeping prices low is really quite interesting - you purchase directly from the manufacturer who is producing the items on a monumental scale. Temu effectively only act as a broker between the manufacturer and the consumer. I think this is definitely worth bearing in mind with your purchases. For example, a mass-produced, load bearing steel carabiner (of which I've bought several from there) will probably be of the quality you need. Mass produced thermal optics for £50 is likely to disappoint!
Having said that... the range finders that they do for c.£30 are actually very good.

As far as Atlas bipods are concerned, the yank company apparently licensed a Chinese company to manufacture them, and sell as airsoft........I bought one of these for £29 on ebay, and modded it to give tilt as well as pan.
I was shooting next to a guy who had a "genuine" one on a sniper type rifle, and there was no obvious difference between them.
Same black anodised hard aluminium legs and stainless steel fittings. Even the Airsoft versions interchangeable spikes fitted perfectly, and were <1/4 the price.
The problem was that AFAIK, some scrotes were advertising them as "proper" Atlas, ie yank manufactured, and ripping people off.

I get hacked off when you buy something that is eminently suitable for it's intended task, say for gardening, or some other household related gubbins, & you only find out it's coming from China when you pay for it,.... if your lucky in about fifteen days time.

I have bought lots of different bits from temu and alliexpress over the years and the vast majority of it has been very good.
You see the same stuff on amazon and other UK sites but its more expensive.
Bought some quick release picatinny mounts recently for 25 euro and they return to zero perfectly on my 22.

Some people voted to go back and be as insular as possible, half of us were very happy with global trade and the benefits of being in the UK. If UK employers wanted to pay a decent wage to allow the average worker to buy products made in the UK then I would agree with you. The cost of living here is so high compared to stagnant wages that buying cheap stuff from China is almost a necessity if you want to buy anything at all.

Depends what you want.
I got a load of LEDs direct from China (AliExpress) as they make 99.9% of the world's supply. Why would I buy them from a UK supplier and pay them a massive % uplift on price for clicking the same 'Buy Now' button.
I got them for £16 from China when the UK supplier wanted £49 for the same branded item.
