Spartan Bipods?

Go to c. 9.15 in the video to see the new Vidar bipod.

I’ve emailed Spartan and they’ve said it’s being launched in June.

I’ve also seen some prototypes similar but that attach via picatinny.

Have also noticed this from Sako which looks to be a Spartan made bipod, but is magnetic.

Thanks for this. The vidar looks to be what I’m after, less bulky than the Valhalla. Will keep an eye out for them launching. Cheers

Right folks, opinions needed.

Every time I tweak something weight wise on the rifle , it becomes a bit more pleasant to use. Last thing I changed was for a lighter mod and it makes a big difference to the balance for carrying.

I’ve two Harris bipods. 9-13” and 12-25”. I usually use the 9-13” unless it’s mid summer or deep heather. I prefer shooting off the bipod when I can.

The difference between the 9-13 Harris and the longer Spartan is 159g. Is it worth the difference in weight? Noticeable?

I believe the other perk is that you can quickly attach the bipod magnetically onto the rifle to make carrying more comfortable. Is there a clip on the Spartan to take a sling if you were to have it permanently attached? Is the magnet strong enough to hold a sling onto the weight of rifle? Seems a gamble. I would need to add an adapter but I only have one QD stud.

Any thoughts or experiences on them would be appreciated. Best thing since sliced bread or much and such?
The advantage of the lightweight detachable bipods like Spartan and Neopod is you just carry them on your belt till you get close to the firing position then clip them on. Most of my Fallow stalking is done off quad sticks but I carry the Neopod on my belt just in case I need it. With Harris style they are heavy and clumsy and you have them attached all the time
