I have a Zeiss scope which has a scratch on the objective lens that you can clearly see. When, however, you look through the scope you cannot see it. I have a pair of Optizan binoculars that have a 2mm foreign body knocking about in them. When you look through it you cannot see it. Do not worry about it. Just get on and use it.

Brilliant eye sight till I had them checked, Cataracts in both, now been removed now have a floater in left eye not effecting my shooting rifle or clay busting. My Swarovski scopes are now even brighter. To the OP' as said above crack on and enjoy your scope, your mates are winding you up.

Fortunately I have super long range vision. So absolutely no issues when out stalking, but within 2 feet of my face I can’t see sh!t!!

So I now have glasses purely for laptop work that are constantly on and off as I move my eyes between my Mac, paperwork, presentation screens and looking at people.

Ah, the joys of getting older!!
