Speed goats

If you know Richard Whiteley of Swarovski and East Grinstead Guns I know he used to go a lot a few years ago so will have contacts. I can find his details somewhere if need

Monster Critters out of Laramie, WY., is reasonably priced and he has good acess to private land. Davie Nacey is the ramrod for that outfit. Don’t shoot the first one you see! As Richard said, you definetly can do it yourself without a guide. Better do it this year because there is a bill before the state legislature that if it passes, the hunting fee will almost double and non resident tags will be limited to 10% of the total tags available. Be nice to Daddy the Skunk and he might take you for the price of some good company. I know he lives in or near some of the best antelope country in Wyoming. If not, I’ll bet he can point you in the right direction.

Speed goat's are everywhere! In town, right on the edge, on public or private land the catch is drawing the tag where you have access. You do not need some super magnum for long shots either my last goat was at 35 yards with a 7x57 Ruger No1 RSI. My farthest goat was at 300 with a 270 Ruger No1B. Seen them shot with 243 and 257 Roberts all good quick kills. Seen a few blown to mush with the bigger 300 magnums and a 257 Weatherby at very close range.

Come on Skunk, give our long lost cousin an invite.

I'll try to help you out but will need a little more info about what you're looking for. Would you like a self guided or an outfitted hunt? There are pronghorn all over the western states so you'll have alot to choose from. Your biggest hurdle will be planning a trip that is dependent on successfully drawing a tag so let's start with you picking a state and we'll go from there.
