Spotting scope

Would be interested in peoples thoughts on a decent spotting scope without breaking the bank don’t mind spending up to the £500 mark and would go second hand if there was something decent available mane usage would be stalking

When I was looking for a spotting scope I did a bit of research and ended up buying an Optolyth.

Very happy with its performance, usability and value for money.

There is one for sale in the classifieds section at a decent price. (TB 80, with 30x magnification)

Ive had top end swarovski ones in the past but would consider a kowa tsn-501 for stalking use, unless you are talking about roebuck trophy assesment in detail then you will need the real top end stuff. Ive seen the lightweight kowa in use and its very good

I’ve got an Optolyth and it’s excellent, I know several other people that have them and they are also very happy with them. There are several for sale on ebay for around £250, as long as you get guarantee of a refund if they aren’t what they should be you’re on a winner.

I bought the Delta Optical Titanium ED II 15-45x65 Spotting Scope for just under £480 and it has served me well. It's not top tier but very good optics for the price, as indeed is most stuff from Delta....​
