Hello all and thank you for the welcome.
I am 54 years young and new to stalking, although i have been shooting small bore and shotgun for many years. I completed my DSC level one last year at Calton Moor Range in Derbyshire and have since been trying very hard to find a slot in a syndicate in Scotland. So if anyone has any vacancies I'd love to hear about it.
I have been to the New Forest to shoot Wild Boar and got my first boar on the first trip. I'll be going again thats for sure.
I am a specialist in animal behaviour and work in animal and now also plant photobiology. Born on a shooting estate in the Cotswolds I was luck enough to have gamekeeper as my mentor.
I compete at English Skeet at a reasonably high level and it has become more of a serious competing sport over the years. So stalking is my new private and personal passion. Just me a fellow stalker or two and the peace of the countryside. I've got the bug and I love it. I do a fair bit of fishing too.
I pride myself in being a very safe shot and have an old fashioned attitude to a kill. Only if it will be eaten or it is necessary.
