Stalking or driven hunt for wild boar?

I recently had the time to experience both ways of hunting wild boar. My wife complained about us lacking wild boar meat in the freezer and I had to comply...
I called the gamekeepers of a state owned area nearby and I scheduled 2 days of hunting. Luckily for me, they already had plans for a driven hunt and they happily invited me to join them.

After some bad signs in the filed due to wolves presence (we found a recently killed red deer female), the luck was finally on my side and a very young dog chased his first boar towards me. Some other ones chased 2 bears to my neighbors 😅
I was very happy for my success and for the dog behavior. His owner, the gamekeeper, was very proud of him also (see the joy on his face)

It was one of the rare occasions where dragging the animal to the car was easy due to snow and a nearby forest road downhill.

However, I knew that my wife will not be happy with a smelly male boar and I went home to change in my cold weather gear to wait for another one. After 3 hours of waiting, 2 small boars finally visited us and the snow blanket helped me to take the shot. It was not that simple since my hands were shacky due to the cold but it was a perfect day in the end.
