Stalking Show 2023

Little bit of an odd one - can anyone remember the target company? Not Tom's targets but the other?
I was meaning to head back and pick up their 'stalkers set' which consisted of a stand and a plate but bloody forgot!

I bought one, had to keep reminding my self all day to go back and pick it up before I left. Almost managed to forget it. They were called the Steel Target company. They have a website same name .com. At £80 I thought they were really good value.

Excellent show and in general terms, good to work and exhibit at a show where you were not waiting for someone to help themselves and walk off with said goods.
Didn’t talk to one person enquiring about optics for air rifles or rim-fire.
An issue with exhibitor parking, but that wasn’t helped by the Antique show going on in the next hall.
Congrats and thanks to the organisers and those attending.

ended up with 3 more from them to add to the collection. Very nice people to deal with as said

Would love to tell you about the rest of the show from personal experience but as I only managed to get off the stand at 330pm on the Sunday I didn’t see much, if any of it!!

However as show’s go this is the best we have ever done!

Easy to access
Easy to park and free
Cheap to get in.
For us Easy to unload/set-up/tear down/exit
Excellent food onsite
Huge range of exhibitors from boot care to bullets, optics to outfitters.
Lots of Social areas where likeminded souls can sit around talking **** over a pint!!
Exhibition/Demonstration areas were always well filled with bums on seats.

From my perspective it is more than worth attending.
If we had brought more stuff we would have sold it
We took shotguns and sold them.
We had multiple enquiries for rimfire ammo and air pellets!
We sold catapults, we sold range bags, we sold shotgun cleaning kits, lamps and fox calls.
It doesn’t have to be all directly linked to deer!!

These shows rely on support from both sides, exhibitors and punters coming through the doors.
Turn out was excellent.
The footfall would now rival some of the National shows with a wider appeal.

To achieve that in two years is amazing.
I wish Dave and Deanne and the Stalking Show team all luck with continuing to grow what could become one of the dominant National shows in the Calendar.

We will be there next year with more stuff and more staff!!

I would mirror this, working in the next hall on the Barbury Gunroom stand. I hardly had the opportunity to look around in a meaningful way.
Our biggest seller was bullets, with 25-06, 7mm-08 and .222 being the most asked for (non standard .308/6.5cm etc) calibres. We sold 300 rounds of 25-06 alone!

Saturday was manic, Sunday was far quieter and the better day imo to have a browse as a customer if you are looking to make an informed choice on a particular item.
