Do any of you have a pair of Steiner Ranger Extreme 8x56 binoculars? If so how do you rate them please? Was wondering about getting a pair but its always good to get a review.

Yes I have read the published reviews, what I was after was unbiased reviews. Having said that I do understand that someone who has spent serious money on binoculars is perhaps unlikely to admit they were a pile of poo!

I have a Ranger 4-16 x 56 that I think is excellent value and quality. So happy in fact that I actually have two.

Not that telling you this is a great deal of use though regarding bino’s. 😬

Had new steiner 7x50s 2000 bought that were good but were not with the special coatings for hunting though but my new 8x56 Zeiss bino"s from 2008 are better.

I have a pair, really like them. Offer great viability in low light, sturdy and very well made. The only downside is that they are quite large and subsequently a little heavy, but I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I think as a dedicated binocular you can’t go wrong, just make sure it is what you want....a friend of mine has just bought a pair of range finding binoculars, which granted are much more expensive but a fantastic piece of kit.....now I want to upgrade!!

That’s because it’s the same bino from the same factory with a different casing. Fact.

Don't think so! I work quite a lot for the parent company of Steiner recently involved in the making of a promotional film for the parent company had to cover up the !ogo on my Vortex binos as it was not a brand endorsed by them.
Would be interested in where you got that information?
