Stolen shooting equipment

I had a couple of rifles stolen in a burglary a number of years ago so I speak from experience.
Provided that you have taken the appropriate security precautions then there is little that the police can do.
They inspected and passed your cabinet. It would have had to meet the relevant regulations.
In my case, I lived in the middle of no-where. My wife and I were at work. My guess is they cased the house prior to the break in because they knew how to get in unseen and had the tools to do anything necessary. They also had all day.
They pryed open a hand made safe that makes the metal used on modern safes look like paper.

The truth behind most burglaries of this kind is you won't stop them without a silent police monitored alarm.
And no, there was no interuption in my certificate other than waiting for the insurance to pay up and getting a variation through.
