Great products and have been using for a couple of years now, buying from NZ previous to this, but I want to exchange a coat fir a smaller size and can not get hold of anyone..

For information. I have just received my Stony Creek Long Bush Coat. £250. The build and materials quality looks to be superb. The Olive colour just right. This coat looks like it could last quite a few years. Unfortunately at 5' 8" tall I can't wear it. I ordered the size XL for a 42" chest (after chatting with Stony Creek) and it is very roomy. Sadly the sleeves hang 1.5" below my extended fingers, and yes, I could tighten up the velco at the wrist but I like ventilation. The front of the smock hangs 2/3 down my thigh and needs hitching up to get a leg up on a fence. I can only just reach the side pockets and have to bend over to reach the bottoms of the pockets. There is room in the top pocket for a pair of Swarovski SLC binos, but getting them in and out of the smallish zip is a pain. Despite that I thought I'll change it for a size L 40" chest which might be shorter. Again I asked the helpful Brooke at Stoney Creek and she said the size L was only 1.5cm shorter!!! So if you are over 6' 0" tall I would say get one, but if like me you are vertically challenged then her final answer was turn the sleeves up inside? A great shame as I really, really wanted this coat, and a great shame you can't speak to someone on the phone. All communication is via e-mail to NZ.. My coat is now on its way for a refund.
