Storm

Did a 20 hr old track today in company of other people and dogs on strange ground
So plenty of distraction
5-10 ml of blood
2 x 90% turns
worked it well
pup doing well

Sounds like he's going from strength to strength Rich.
If you want some where fresh to run a track give me a shout.

I watched Richard & Storm cover the track line stated, and it was just fantastic to watch such a young dog work that trail so well.... Hearing about something is one thing, but seeing it yourself is something else !!! The time and effort going in to this young dog is the main factor, and one which can only give those of us starting out with tracking dogs huge inspiration....

Thankfully there are people willing to share both time and knowledge to benefit the rest of us.

All the best.

Neil.

Hello Richard.

With my `homework` I laid two trails yesterday, 1 x 3 hours and 1 x 5 hours, both 350 meters - with 25mls of blood.... The three hour trail in the morning was very good from the shot site, and good pace, but he either saw ( my fault ), or winded the fallow skin, and the last 50 meters was an exciting ride....

The 5 hour trail in the evening started well, but he lost interest toward the end, so I am going to concentrate on 3 hour trails, but longer length, and then stretch the age out once he does those well.... He is definitely not used to fallow scent / cleaves / skin, so I feel I have been at fault only using Roe etc.

Lots to take in and put in to practical use, but no shame in going back a few stages.... Like I said, driver error....

All the best.

Neil.

Richard, he's looking good, will you be putting him in for the 20 hour test

Not sure as yet
hoping to go to Denmark to do our tests
but we need to complete the 3hr old first of all

but if I can get a 20hr track aswell
would be good
but with Tony over the weekend at Highclere
so will be discussing more
but yes will be doing our own 20hr track at some point once Storm is old enough to enter
that is once I hav taken our 3hr test first

Richard,
Thanks for the videos, they are fab and am sure you are rightly proud of Storm, he is a cracker. Couldn't help noticing your harness/line arrangement on storm, I am looking for something similar for my GWP. It looks like something you can scrunch up and put in your pocket.....if it is would you please let me know where I can get one from.
ATB,
Darren
