A surgeon 591 action chambered in 284 win (.308 bolt face and short action). I have never shot the rifle, I bought if for the action but have now gone another direction. Barrel is heavy and long, 27 or 28” from memory. I’ve borescoped it and it looks in good order. I understand it was previously an f class rifle.
I purchased the stock off here, rebedded it as it was off centre and painted in a green/brown/yellow. The stock had an adjustable LOP, sling QD mounts and a spartan bipod mount as well as a pic rail that can go on the front ( not in pics).
Comes with Atlas works bottom metal.
I am keeping the trigger so it will not have a trigger.
It is currrently with my RFD. My plan was to rebarrel to 22 creed and use a rear NV add on which the adjustable LOP would have been great for. Ultimately I decided it would not offer me much more than my 243 set up and with a new house could use funds elsewhere.
Feel £850 &rfd fees is a fair price. The action is probably worth that.
