Four House Martins today, a family party l think, seemed to be passing through.
Every winter l get flies, Ladybirds, and lacewings hibernating in my workshop and as the temperature increases in the spring they appear around the windows, as and when they appear l leave the windows open so they can escape.
Over the last three winters there seems to be less and less flies hibernating, is this a sign that there will be a poor breeding season for our summer visitors ?
