Swarovski el range finder binos

The Swarovski EL-r is excellent. The only negative being the lack of any integrated ballistics compensator.

In comparison, the Leica HD-b is a bargain at the moment.

Tried the Leica HDRs and the Swaros both in 8x42. Glass was excellent in both but if memory serves me right, the range finder button on the Swaro is on the left, but the Leica is on the right. I always carry my sticks in my left hand and usually use the binos one handed with the right.

First world problem I know but probably will go with the Leicas when the time comes.

Hi all
I am thinking of getting a pair of Swarovski el 10 X 42 range finder binos.

I know they are mega expensive and iam trying to convince myself iam worth it.

Are they the bees knees or just a gimmick?
Should I save a grand and just buy a top decent pair of binos and use my pocket range finder.

Thanks for your help

have a look at kahles helia rf 10x42 binos,a cracking pair at a reasonable price ive just purchased a set and can't not fault them.
glass is excellent on par with Swarovski and light around the neck and lighter on the pocket.swarovski can't fault them at all can you justify the price difference.looked through both couldn't see much difference apart from ones brown and the others green!!hope this helps
