Hi all
Once again I seek the wisdom of the SD.
For once it's not me that has the problem I'm seeking advice for my Dad, so you may need to bear with me a touch.
He owns a couple of Z6I 2.5-15X56BTL's and he's managed to damage the ballistic turret on one of them. I'll try and describe the problem as he explained it to me (I haven't seen it)" the adjustment dial/knob you turn with your fingers is mounted on either side on 2 plastic sort of prongs that must make the adjustments inside the scope" one of these has broken off and he's lost it.
He bought them both new from a large retailer and when he phoned them to describe his dilemma he was told it'll have to go back to Swarovski and it'll be 'the cost of the repair plus a couple of hundred quid to re-gas it'.
I've not yet had to test Swarovski's after sales service myself fortunately, but I've read on here multiple times that it's excellent!
Has anybody had to send a scope back to Swarovski for the same problem? If so, how did you get on and what did it cost please?
Does anybody have any other advice I could give the old man, apart from don't break your bloody scope in the first place!
