Swift Mark II Zoomscope

I’ve acquired a vintage spotting scope for range use and I’m looking for accessories to go with it.

It’s a Swift Mark II Zoomscope 15-60x60mm Model 841, serial number puts it as from 1973. I believe these were used by the British Army sniper training school for a while, but were not used much on ops due to being vulnerable to dust/grit ingress.

Has anyone got one of these scopes and had any joy tracking down:
  1. Lens caps (original)
  2. Lens caps (improvised or adapted - I’m looking at a 67mm camera lens cap to see if it’ll fit to the objective, but would still need a cap for the eyepiece)
  3. Case:
    1. Traditional leather tube type
    2. Cordura or neoprene leave-on style (most are for angled, not straight scopes)
    3. 81mm mortar case
    4. Other alternatives? Scope is approx 76mm x 442mm
Many thanks in advance!
J

In the list of case options, unless you specifically don't desire it, you are missing the briefcase option which also carried the tripod - that is as original as it gets and is what will add value to your scope as "sniper kit".

Where had you heard about the leather case and stay-on cover styles? I now see photos on the internet showing the leather tube, but was not aware of these before.

I imagine the mortar tin was an ad-hoc thing, if not an urban myth. The mortar tin I've seen referenced in a few places, but not sure where it originated from. Really only two publicly spoken and "widely accepted" sources of truths around these things, one is more reliable than the other in my experience.

I don’t have the original tripod etc, but I’ve seen the boxed sets with briefcase, tripod etc on eBay for a lot more than I paid for my bare scope.
Bausch and Lomb did a straight leather tube case for their similar model spotting scope, in the WW1/WW2/Sam Browne style.
All of the stay-on cases I’ve seen are for angled eyepiece spotters, I’m surprised there isn’t a straight option anywhere amongst them on eBay/amazon/AliExpress etc.
There is a polypropylene pelicase style option referred to as a “GC-6” case, which might work.
Ideally, a padded pouch or tube that can be slipped into my range bag would be the most suitable for my needs.
But more than the case, is the lens covers/caps!
