SWOLLEN FEET

Shot a roe buck at the end of the season, he was moving well and with a doe and two of this years kids, he was about 3 years old and a decent 6 point head for this ground. Shot in the failing light and at the gralloch all the internals looked normal. When it came to skinning him his feet appeared swollen, the lymph nodes in the groin area were swollen with fluid and slightly gritty. There was also a lump in the groin area that looked like a retained testicle and when cut into was full of black oily blood. I discarded the carcass and not for the dogs either but wondered what it might have been. No pictures of the lump but have photos of the feet. 882A0B25-4F20-4C0D-8E60-4F8F50958594.webp62A9655A-0FF1-4A0D-B6BD-B87F4FDC4F9A.webp

Meant to say no lesions on the feet or the tongue and mouth. The pads just felt more swollen than usual is it just that the hoofs had been damaged or an infection somewhere in his system.

Thanks Buchan I’ve never seen the underside of the hoofs swollen at the rear of the toes they are normally concave.
Thanks again.

Thought this was a carry on from the viagra thread at first

Seriously though, I agree with Buchan looks like an injury/infection
