Tangent Theta, any UK owners?🤔

Hi all,

Appreciate this is a bit of a niche brand in the UK, but given that their Long Range Hunter 3-15X50 is the perfect spec for what I need in a riflescope, I'd like to find out if anyone has bought one, or simillar scope recently?

Xtreme Tactical seem to be the only ones offering them to order in the UK. Who did you buy yours from?

Just wanting to do my research first, due to the high cost of these. Would be buying it to replace a S&B 4-16×50 Precision Hunter.

Cheers

Hi there.
I dont have one but wow they look great, DLO rates them at the top of the tree. Opticswearhouse used to have them but not for long.
Maybe contact them to get their take?

A bit spendy aren’t they. The LRH model isn’t available in the USA and is being offered as a European model only.

Specs look nice but I’ll personally be leaving them on the shelf at the price.

Not sure where you are seeing that? Several examples of the 3-15×50 LRH are for sale on US sites/forums and the US has been my only source of first-hand reviews.

I think they are a better value propostion than a Blaser rifle :norty: :stir: :finger:

Will contact TT directly at some point to see how they reccomend buying one.

Oops it’s the ZCO hunter that’s only available in Europe 🤦‍♂️

You getting one of those?

Weird mag range and specs, probably around the £3.5k mark?

Absolutely not.

Only scopes I’d consider at the moment are the Schmidt PM11 ultra Bright or some of the others. They suit my eyes best and the company is old enough to have faith in.

They still hold parts for my 4-16X50 PM11 that was made in 1999. One of my favourite scopes. If a 3-12X50 illuminated came up at the right money I’d add one. But prices appear to have gone a bit ridiculous.

Considering their labour charges, lack of UK agents/service centre (I'd note that an 'ex-Demo' S&B Ultra Short, bought from OPW, came broken out of the box to me. Supposedly fine as they bought it from the S&B 'UK Rep' :fib: ) and Brexit related shipping issues, my Precision Hunter is the last S&B that I will own.

Surely that applies to TT and ZCO then.

My 4-16x50 is going back for a service and it’s pretty steep at €350

The shipping doesn’t seem problematic.

I just think their scopes offer the best features.

I’ve had three Zeiss V8’s but my eyes don’t like the illumination.

Swarovski just seem to delicate to me.

That leaves Schmidt. My 3-20X50 non ultrashort is brilliant.

I’ve still got the bushnell 3-12x44 LRHS on the fix until something falls into my lap that’s decent and the right price. Tempted to try a Zeiss FL 4-16X50.

Don’t put ZCO in the same bracket as S+B there worlds apart from customer services right upto R+D and that’s before we even get into the glass , buts that’s a diffenrnt conversation .

Oh and for the record ZCO warranty’s are lifetime and no hassle .

Who looks after ZCO in the U.K.?

I’ve got no experience of them so far, aren’t they also European based?

I just don’t want to invest in a scope and the company go pop like Premier Optics.

The Premier Optics light hunter was the perfect scope. 30mm tube and small turrets. LGA supplies still has them for sale but with not backup they are worthless.

ZCO Main agent, is somewhere close to Optics Wharehouse.
i had HUGE issue with my first ZCO & and its replacement also had to be returned and it WEEKS. this could have been Optic W fault as their customer service sometimes SUCKS.
