I was pointed towards this training programme today. It certainly looks the part.
Has anyone followed it? Any good?

I followed it with my vizsla and found it good. It is pretty rigid in regards to how the dog is kept and given “free time” - very much along the lines of a farmers work dogs that are not pets as such. This relaxes towards the end though when the dog is given more freedom as it become more disciplined. My three sons were under 5 when I did it so it was difficult for me to stick strictly to all his methods and I let it get to me a bit. In hindsight I wouldn’t be too worried as if you do the majority of the training I think you’d end up with a good hunting companion.
There is also a lot of supporting material with his podcasts and the Facebook group you can join.

That’s a good insight mate, cheers.
I’m keen to give it a go with my ‘collie’. He’s a big old boy and seems to have the temperament. 👍

I think that a collie/sheep dog types are probably the best suited to the program. One thing I found with the vizsla was the natural desire to quarter when out in front was hard to contain.

That’s my thoughts. My lab naturally quarters but this lad seems to be steadier all round. He was bred as a cattle dog and I reckon he must have some hunterway in him somewhere. I’ve had maybe 20 odd collies all in but this lad is definitely different.

I've bought the program but life intervened so never put it into practice. Once the baby is older and some of the more geriatric members of the pack have passed on I shall but getting a puppy with the intention of finally using it
