Sew a button on the shoulder area of your shooting shirt/jacket/hoodie:

Get and glue to your usual sling that stuff they sell at motoring accessory shows that's non-slip for putting in dashboards. That's the next cheapest solution after the KLENCHBLAIZE button suggestion. Use a contact adhesive.

A decent saddler will make you one with rubber rein grip Robbie. A wider sling makes for a greater surface area distributing proportionally less of the weight across a larger surface area, so the sling can actually be more slippy than a narrower one.
