Despite getting back from Heathrow late last night I managed to drag myself out of bed this morning and head down the track.
As soon as I got to the cover crop field I could see a muntjac buck approaching through the adjacent hay meadow field. I tucked myself in beside a tree and waited as he approached. Eventually the sound of the shutter spooked him, but not before I'd managed to capture a couple of good shots of him. He's a fine looking buck and if he lasts another year or two he should get up to medal standard.
