As many know Oneleaf have been having great success with there MT1000LRF thermal rifle scope, with its 640x512 sensor, LRF and BC it's been very very popular, especially with its low price tag, arguably the best value 640x512 sensor thermal on the market, prices start from £1100 for a 35mm lens and £1300 for the 50mm, £1550 for the 75mm

last week Oneleaf sent me there new Mars mini compact thermal rifle/pistol scope.

Boasting the same 640x512 sensor and LRF, touch screen and button controlled, Smart AI focus, and with the ability to mount this in many and I mean many ways its certainly different to most stuff out there.

It comes with a eye piece so you can use it as a normal scope

it is in my opinion predominantly aimed at the US market for a more tactical solution, you can see it being well suited to being mounted on a AR platform and it is heavily suited for pistol use, with 3 mounting options to strap it on to a Glock and other pistol compatible mounting solutions...........but does it have a place on a traditional hunting rifle.

Absolutely, it could even be used as a compact thermal spotter.

The clever thing about this is it can be use with or without the eye piece.

Personally I would mount it on a airgun, Rimfire, or centerfire with the eye piece fitted

Mine has a 25mm lense on but it's also available with a 19mm lens.

Price wise the 25mm lense is £1550

looking forward to getting it put to work and seeing how it fairs up in the real world, if its anything like the MT1000LRF it will be good.

these will be available very soon in the uk from Veteran shooting Supplies where you can also get the MT1000LRF
