Everyday,s a school day I didn’t know they made covers for IBC tanks.

I had a trip up the shoot this evening to drop a few bits off that I had gathered for repairs, as I was there and it was a lovely evening I thought I’d have a wander with the hmr, it’s lovely this time of year, I spent a bit of time watching 2 fallow doe’s browsing a hedgeback and as it got a little later watched the native woodcock flighting out, sounding like little flying pigs, I was asked for a couple of hares by someone who wanted them for feeding snakes, anyway I only seen one on a ride so one will have to do until I get to my mates farm during the week, I also shot a couple of rabbits around the farm and took them over to a ride between 2 of the drives as the only way to shoot foxes up here before combine is the bait and wait method so over the coming weeks I’ll be baiting the same couple of spots overlooked by a couple of camera traps

Yeah, I get that a lot up the shoot, you can watch the bloody crows walking the fence line, the only place they do well is in the oilseed rape

By far the best way to reduce squirrels is to trap. They are daft and are suckers for tunnel traps near feeders. Shooting them is far more entertaining and a good way to reduce numbers initially but the only way to really keep on top of them is trapping.
