Good result and nice scope, been shooting the odd carrion with 17 rem but normally use 222 as cheaper and save sweet seventeen for foxs was tempted to post picture of remaining bits I could find but thought may offend 😂 edit. Nice bit of hedge/cover also.

Well, I was hoping to have been posting my progress up at the shoot with repairs to pens and all the other jobs that are still to do but to be honest with the temperatures we’ve had over the past couple of weeks I’ve done nothing other than drop materials up there that I’ve gathered ( for free ) I really do need it to cool down so I can get up there early before the flies are out of control
So not being up there much has given me a bit of time to spend 3 nights looking for a chicken killer, this also hasn’t gone to plan 😂 It turns out that it works the day shift, killing the lads rooster at 12 o’clock and then running past the Tesco delivery lad with a hen in its gob at 2pm, this is not the easiest place to shoot with just a 50 meter strip where it’s safe to take a shot, I was out until 2 this morning and although I seen 2 foxes both stayed around the buildings, clearly smart animals as they won’t go near the traps, so I’m thinking this is going to be one of my freezer bait rabbits nailed to the ground 🤞IMG_7462.webpIMG_7442.webp

What's with the pink camo on the sticks , you in touch with your feminine side 🤣🏳️‍🌈
I’m representing for all my LGBTQ+ shooting community, as I write this I’ve got a pink T-shirt on and some rainbow pants but I’m not putting that picture up, I’ll WhatsApp if you want it 😂🏳️‍🌈IMG_7472.webp

Well, 4th night lucky on the chicken killer, I changed my approach this evening, I went to see the lad at the farm next door to see if I could have access to the back of the farm which he was kind enough to allow me, so now I was able to approach from the rear ( Ooow missus ) no calling, just waiting to see if it came onto a track at the rear of the property and sure enough at around 9:30 out it came approximately 180 yards down the track making it way towards me, after 50 yards it looked like it was going to slip through the hedge where I would lose the shot, so I gave it a quiet “Oi” and it turned to look at me just long enough for me to send a 90gr SP from the .243 straight into its laughing gear, happy chicken man 👍IMG_7485.webp

I was out until 12 last night on a chicken ranch. Didn't show.
Night before till 1am. It was there and killed a chuck, I just couldn't get a shot, dam fencing!
It'll have to wait until next weekend now. Bloody things.
