If you do still wish to see stuffed animals visit the Horniman Museum near Forest Hill in London. It's free. Just don't waste money on paying to see the live butterflies. That was disappointing.

I liken politics to the game of monopoly played by primary school kids. Indecision after stupid party political games. My conscience tells me I have to go to vote but I'm afraid I will honestly have to spoil the slip with "None of these fools". This because that is how I consider all the present parties and their childish behaviour and actions.

Anyone listening to BBC R4’s Today Programme (06:54) and their handling of the issue cannot fail to notice the lack of balance in their handling of the subject matter, they gave a spokesperson in favour of banning all trophy hunting free reign, but nobody representing the opposite view, save that ‘renowned big game hunting champion’, presenter Martha Kearney!

They gave “free rein” to a spokesperson against the ban yesterday at 07:22. And a very strong case it was too but as we know all too well that’s not how it works in politics.
The thrust of the interviewee’s argument was twofold:
1. If this bill is being progressed on moral grounds it is inconsistent and flawed as there is no proposal to ban trophy hunting in the UK. (Think Highland red stag or Lowland roe buck heads.)
2. If the bill is being progressed against an argument of protecting overseas endangered species it is non-evidence based. The key point being the evidence that is being ignored is that which clearly demonstrates trophy hunting is a force for good in the protection of habitat and the number of beasts that are said to suffer as a result of trophy hunting.

That in itself is terrifying - it means the politicians think all of these activist groups represent the majority view (because anyone actually sane has given up trying) so they get listened to, and when it comes to voting the runway is clear for them to insert whichever sock puppet they want because they’re the only ones voting.
The lunatics are taking over the asylum! Oh for a small state, low tax, pro countryside and pro personal freedom party… I might have to start one myself at this rate.

From DM today, MPs passed the private members bill tabled by Tory Henry Smith without a vote this morning after amendments were accepted that limit the species that the law would apply to.
The ultimate aim of the legislation is to stop UK nationals from killing endangered animals in the first place.
Well I am a UK national but am not living in the UK, how dare they think they can tell what I can and cannot do? This is not children misuse ffs.

Nothing is banned yet. It has to go through the Lords first.
