Thermal monocular - Guide v Pulsar ...any advice?

I am interested in buying a thermal monocular and wondered if anyone had any advice regarding brands. Blackwood Outdoors have some good deals on at the moment and for my budget (£1K) the choice seems to come down to models by Pulsar or Guide. The specs look virtually the same on paper so I would interested to hear of people’s experience and recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I'm really very inexperienced with thermal, but recently purchased a Guide, albeit one beyond your stated budget. I bought it as I liked the simplicity of menu compared with Pulsar, and also the image(again, that's perhaps irrelevant given budget).
The main advantage of Pulsar is apparent to me now , the removable battery pack.

I'm just at the point of turning to the dark side as well. I want it for deer counting and fox spotting mainly. Not convinced I want to use it stalking yet.

There are just so many options. I think I'm homing in on the HIK Lynx 19mm but could do with looking through a few in the field at night really. Easier said than done.

Guide N2 or Axion Key XM30. The Guide is better under 80yds and has much better field of view, also higher resolution. The Axion has good build, removable battery and longer detection range so better for longer ranges for use like when foxing, etc. Both are nice capable units. If you want more bells and whistles including a bigger screen. TrackIR TK25 is near your budget also.

I have a guide n2 25mm . I use it for deer and fox , no issues with the battery running down . I haven't had a thermal before but for me and for what I paid I just can't fault it . Give Ian at Blackwood out doors a ring ,top man
