Many thanks to Mike, Bruce and russ for laying on a most entertaining and informative evening with some ladds comming up from as far afield as Perth and Angus .Once again the local wildlife and livestock obliged and made themselves available to compare the array of units on display. Even the weather gods provided perfect conditions with the temperature falling several degrees below zero with no wind.
As always Ythan Field sport supplies provided hot drinks shortbread and sausage rolls which was most appreciated all served in the very plush event venue.
Mike tells me that YFSS is now the main Hik suplier in Aberdeenshire and north east and can supply most makes of NV and thermal kit.
The kit on display were from Pulsar, Pard, Hik and others so covered a broad spectrum of price and ability.
Reading articles or watching YouTube videos are useful ways in deciding which sight, spotter may be the one for you but viewing these units in their natural environment gives a far better prospective in choosing what is best for you.

Was perfect thermal & NV conditions cold & clear ….
I had my Clive Ward Digistslker there just to let folk see another option albeit older sensors compared to pard 008 & the Wulf 4k
One thing was good for showing how good it is with zero IR in these conditions and still very useable
