Afternoon All,

Does anyone have experience with the above? Im looking at getting a new scope (30mm tube), to use with my Tier One monomount (34mm). These cost effective reducers will mitigate getting a new mount entirely.

Comments appreciated!

Cheers

I've used these they work fine just a little awkward to put on with my large hands stretch them on and just be carfull not to scratch your tube but they work fine

Don't do it, maybe fine for a .22 but not for a centrefire rifle scope.

Take it as an opportunity to rid yourself of those rubbish Tier One rings (poor design, screws from Aliexpress and glued in bubble level- also sourced from China!)

So i have the Tier One short saddle Monomount, seems to be darn solid and fit for purpose. What do you reccomend as an alternative?

I would imagine aluminium reducers would be superior.

I think you’re having your leg pulled by caberslash.

I’ve used AI and Tier1 reducers and found they work, no problem at all. Although, they can be a faff to hold precisely in situ as you torque the ring top down. As with all things to do with scopes, gently does it.

Don't skimp when it comes to mounting scopes as it will bite you eventually.

Pretty sure most scope companies would not recommend the use of a reducer.

Either Spuhr or American Rifle Company, aside from AI, UK companies don't have the best track record when it comes to making shooting gear (that's if they make it themselves!)

Dead serious, they are over priced, under-engineered junk.
