I bought these thinking I may have a semi custom built, but haven’t, so they’re both for sale. Price include P&P and assume payment by PayPal F&F or bank transfer.

McMillan Varmint - £350

In good condition. There’s one place (shown in the photo) where the gel coat has been chipped but the piece has been stuck back on so there isn’t an obvious chip. It could be tidied up further with some careful sanding.

The only other point to note is that the recoil lug was bonded in by the previous owner. However, there’s no bedding compound so you can otherwise start afresh.

Deluxe Wood Stock -£90 SOLD

This has been bedded and had pillars fitted. The previous owner appears to have fitted a Remington style recoil lug, so it will need re-bedding (albeit a skim bed and filling the recoil lug would likely do).

Condition is otherwise good and, as with all of these older wood stocks, a strip and refinish should have it looking 👌.

The 695’s were a class rifle! I’m sure someone somewhere will have an action that they are wanting to build on and buy this stock. Good luck with the sale

Cheers! The only reason I haven’t done it is I seem to be accumulating Sako 75s. There’s a part of me that doesn’t want to part with it though, knowing how nice a rifle it would build into.

I always preferred tikka to sako’s just for one reason that the way sako has there dovetailed mounting system annoyed me. I much preferred putting a low rail in the tikka instead of a £120 contessa on the sako and gaining 20 mm😂

Hi Andy,
I've recently brought a Tikka M695 and I'm looking to replace the standard black stock.
I like the McMillan stock for sale, the question is would my action drop straight into it or will it need some work to enable that?
Regards
Carl
