Selling my .222 setup as needing to clear up space in the cabinet for new toys.
Tikka M590 in .222
Have had this for 5-6 years now and seen light use as it turns out I'm not as good at going out foxing as I thought I might be.
In a custom laminate thumbhole stock that was made for me by a chap who's name I've forgotten, but it might come back to me. Nicely made and fit is great. Have the original walnut stock as well.
21" barrel, 1 in 14 twist I think
Threaded to 15x1 (95% sure) and fitted with an Aimsport Triton Predator
Two mags - 3 round factory and 5 round extended
Fitted with a Brittania extended rail to allow mounting NV setup (use my DNT Zulus on this)
Drilled/tapped for front and rear irons but these were missing when I bought the rifle
Currently have a Hawke Vantage 30 WA FFP 4-16x40 on this but can removed if not desired. In Vector Optics 30mm rings.
All in good working order.
Have the following ammo to go with:
40 rounds Norma Tipstrike 55gr
20 rounds SAKO Gamehead 50gr
12 rounds SAKO Gamehead 55gr
Bought rifle originally for £500, spent £150 on the stock, £200 on mod and threading, £100 on the rail, £80 on extra mag, and there's £100 of ammo there. And there was I thinking it was ready to use off the shelf when I got it.
Nice working rifle and great for Roe/Foxes but won't be deer legal with copper when that comes in so I'm selling it now. Could also make a donor action for someone.
