After much searching it seems that WR Mags have made decent aftermarket mag's for these rifles, 10 round in 0.223, extended which is great as I need a longer COAL for the 25-45 and 8 shot in .308 which is a bit of a shame.

They are being imported by Rifle mags and I've just bought the 0.223 version to try :)

Hi got my spare mag from carlton moor range they give you a very good service hope this helps harry

More than the action yes, but that’s no different to a T3

T3 long action mags are OK, getting expensive at £50 a pop new.

Anyone who buys a Tikka in anything other than .270 or 30.06 is ill advised. Their .223 magazine length is a joke!

10 shot?

I meant the rifles are if a similar value not mag vs rifle. I don’t think you can get a factory mag for the t3, so you are spending money on bottom metal to take AICS mags or buying a similar aftermarket. At least the WR mags are all metal.

*A 10 round factory mag

Just an update.

Don't go out and buy one just yet......

in both my M590 and m595 the mag goes in fine but then the release catch jams and I had to remove both bottom metals to remove the mag!!

I will be emailing WR and rifle mags with photo and I'll update the thread for anyone searching in the future!

Just an update for anyone finding the is thread in the future.

Advice from the manufacturer via the seller was tolerances are very tight and to file the top of the Catch recess until it was a snug fit but didn’t bind, .1-.2 mm. If you do this go very slowly, I took .18 mm off and on the first go and there is a little bit more play than I’d like but a lot less than the factory mag and it functions perfectly.

All in all it’s a good product that takes a little fettling to get perfect for your rifle, I’d recommend one to any m590/595 shooter.
