Could anybody tell me if there is any aftermarket Tikka T3x trigger made that could be fitted that also has a 3 stage safety?
(Bolt+trigger safe/ Bolt+Round removable +trigger safe/ Trigger ready to fire).
Many thanks.

Regarding trigger job, either polish the surfaces or use aftermarket spring. Or you can do both, but you might not get the trigger above 500-600grams.

In no way use original spring and back the adjustment screw more than original parts allow. Original spring is quite heavy, and trying to bring unpolished trigger to low weight WILL result in inconsistent behaviour and trigger might actuate when stock is bumped etc. CTR and T1x do not have the magazine spring between trigger housing and screw holding it in place. While I have no experience in either, my T3 trigger will adjust to dangerous level if the spring is removed. And I've heard of several CTR (not sure of T1x) adjusted to unsafe levels also. I have no idea if Sako has changed spring specs, but they surely are aware of the situation.

You used to be able to order a set trigger with a new tikka rifle order. These were good and would go pretty light when set. They weren’t available as an aftermarket upgrade however which is a shame. I don’t know if it’s still an option.

bix n Andy make a competition trigger for tikkas if you want to go light and spend some wonga

Buy the 2 stage from ER, and find a lighter trigger spring, you’ll find they work well together. The Tac A1 as the 2 stage trigger fan Tac with the lighter spring, no need to set it too light either. Just do the bump test before you leave the house to ckect it can’t go bang on its own 🙀

Thanks guys, its not trying to get a super light trigger, more of a safety aspect on my T3X.
Being able to release the bolt whilst the trigger is safe is a big plus in my book. Especially in the dark foxing in the freezing cold.👍

Have one of these, does what you ask leaving the bolt free to be cycled with the safety on. Two stage if that is an issue though.

Thanks for that cornflake, I was trying to to get the info about these from Timney stockists website's but it didn't state anywhere about this feature that I could find.
Gone with one of the 2 stagers from Edinburgh Rifles, ordered yesterday, came today, great service. Might not look as bling, but it seems like it will do the job nicely for me. Not massively bothered about it being superlight, just safe when we are falling and slipping about in the hills at night foxing.

KRG in the states is updating their two-stage Midas trigger. I’ve read it is supposed to be excellent. They told me it will be released sometime this spring…I was calling to see when it would be back in stock.
