Tikka t3x bottom metal

Can anyone recommend a bottom metal that will take mdt mags?
I'm looking to change from a mdt chassis to a grs bifrost and I'm unsure what stock and bottom metal to order.

Look into that as I the bifrost I have uses the original bottom mag well/trigger gaurd or an aftermarket aluminium one of which there are several. These use standard Tikka mags.

They do a Bifrost with for the CTR but the CTR mag is the same as the Sako TRG it's not compatible with MDT or AI mags.

CTR mags are not cheap. The CTR are a compact tactical rifle with a medium weight 20" barrel.

Thanks for the response I'm struggling with this at the minute, might have to have a trip to the gun shop.

The aftermarket bottom metals made by Atlasworxs or Mountain Tactical will fit either a standard T3 stock or CTR and both accept AI pattern mags. Get the stock, check which bottoms metal/trigger guard it has and then get the corresponding aftermarket shape that takes AI mags. Just remember there may be a bit of fettling required to get the magazines to fit and feed perfectly.

Personally I prefer the shape, mag release and ergonomics of the Mountain Tactical and they're a good company to deal with.

Mountain Tactical no longer ship internationally direct you have to use one of their stockists that ship internationally a real pain. The only one I could find was Brownells who charge like a wounded Rhino.

Peter put up a video about T3 floor plates a while ago. Atlasworx makes two AICS type floor plates for the T3. One is the older possibly based on the CDI floorplate that was designed pre CTR times. The other is the CTR footprint based version. This will fit into a CTR stock. We only carry the CTR version.
MM sporting in Wales should also have them in stock. Most Atlasworx floorplates come with a slightly too long mag release lever which is good as one can adjust to the mag and the stock used. Goal is to have the mag up tight before it clicks in position which avoids clatter.

Are you sure? I want to for metal floor plate that’ll take AICS mags on my 223 and 6.5 T3x’s (both not CTR’s).
