Do you do alot for BHC? There main manufacturing site is just round from me, good company impressive site.Today we are lifting the top back on an 80ton crane we are changing the slew ring on

No never, how very dare you!and those certainly are not hammer marks obviously and the lever just bent you've obviously never put a pipe/spanner on it to tighten it or wacked it with a hammer

Where was the slew ring made?i know one of the directors well , inducted him on new cranes many years ago when i worked for a manufacturer

Good steel erectors the BHC lot.
Worked with them in London and st James.
Came off driving them and went into maintenance and erecting now and again,I’d had enough of London by then.
