Today at work.....
I stood on a market stall and sold 200 packs of venison. That's about 6 fallow.
There seems to be an almost insatiable demand for the stuff, especially burgers and sausages. I'd sold over 35kg of burgers and sausages by midday!
I don't being a "Fred in a shed" (@south-nofolk-stalker) for a few days if I can shift that much butchered venison at one event.

Some were wild, some were park.
If I had access to the high numbers of wild deer that there are in some parts of the country, I would not have a park herd. But there are no wild deer anywhere near here.

I enjoy having my own herd of deer.
I enjoy stalking.
I enjoy butchery.
I enjoy putting a quality product in front of discerning customers.
I enjoy talking to people about deer and venison.
Provided it makes enough to pay its way then I'm very happy. No need for more than that.
I served 106 customers today, with an average spend of £14. So not big money, but so worth doing for many other reasons.

@VSS I was quite happy me being me and you being you and you tagged me into a pointless post.
So what you earned £1400 at an event, take all your costs out and a wage and guess what no money eared and payed no tax and I’m guessing all your customers payed in lovely crispy notes too

Whats that on the piston?
Last couple weeks at work, new concrete slab for timber garage, concrete for racking system, drainage investigation into buried manhole and replacement at existing ground level, a culvert repair with sleeper retention and extended steels to form barrier for customer to pass with horse and carriage. Too much on the go just now hunting has to be on back burner until caught up with the back log from wet weather and shite modern vans breaking down.

The pistons are machined to clear the valves ,the blocks on the L200 were machined incorrectly you can see the cutting lines in the block as a result of this the compression finds its way across to the water jacket
