Today at work I.....

No, not really. It wasn't the sheep that left a load of tangled wire lying about......
In my defence it wasn't tangled wire initially but I am still to blame - moved a mob of 50 lambs yesterday, only I must have miscounted & only moved 49... This one was left behind & understandably unhappy about it. He managed to find a section that's been repaired (badly) several times & wasn't actually tight, just a loose flap of netting. Crashed through/over it & got snared.

Nice looking sheep
Hmmm thanks but he's from my "shït" group. Have a bunch which haven't done so well this year. Been on rented grazing off farm & I suspect they've been lacking in some trace elements, probably cobalt and selenium. Our home ground grazers have been blood tested couple years back & receive bolus to cover what I know they're lacking. They've all been drenched for it now & split up based on body condition/size.

Get some strontium 90 in them from Chernobyl, that'll perk m' up.

Haven't you seen the movies where bullets all create sparks when they hit something. 🤔

They have 12 gauge flare cartridges, not sure if they would be S1 or S2 but all installation managers or their second in command have to have a certificate just like we do.

It usually takes them a few goes to light it because the flares drift with the wind and they have to get it to pass through the gas plume coming out of the flare tip, which is obviously quite some distance away.
I bet the Method Statement and Risk Review run to a few pages, firing a shotgun on an oil rig trying to ignite a failed flare what could possibly go wrong

If there’s one thing they like offshore, it’s risk assessments.
But to be fair, it is now considered one of the safest industrial environments anywhere.

@Tazz,
I never read the method statement or the attended the TBT....But I was at a TOFS brief(Time out for safety) for the aftermath of a flare ignition gone wrong ....all I can say is impressive doesn't do it justice. A mix of apocalypse now meets Hiroshmia and I was on a vessel 3nm away and the heat wave you could have roasted lunch!. This happened Bombay high 2016 season!. 🤣🤣🤣
