Update. I just tried a gen2 MDT polymer mag on my CTR. Gave it a whack in, it seated, then wouldn't come out. Took a lot to get it out, but once out I could see the pinch point was basically the mag catch. Shaved that down with a Stanley blade and now it goes in and out much easier (I wouldn't say easy, but easier). Should loosen with use but only got it as a spare anyway.

Had the same issue with MDT Poly mag for my Tac A1 - same mag well as CTR. I decided to move it on to a buddy of mine. The original mags are expensive, but a 5 second mod with a small plat point screwdriver and they are fantastic

At £37 or thereabouts, they're a much cheaper option than the original Sako TRG mags that they come with.

In the spirit of pedantry that SD loves, the CTR mags are not the same as TRG mags. TRG mags don’t have a plastic base plate and fit well to CTR or TAC A1’s but the reverse isn’t true as the plastic base plate stops the CTG mag inserting into the TRG.

I didn't, no. Completely forgot in all honesty, but my origins mag seems to be an absolute rust magnet. I've a 10 round MDT backup but a 3 might be nicer. I'll order one
