I'm liking Primoz' jacket for Wiggy very much. Integrates the Gamin T5mini nicely and as its along his back, there's nothing around his neck banging on his little knees. The chest pad is taking a hammering that says its doing its job very well. Out stalking on Tuesday night in 26 deg temperature it would have been nice to have some mesh panels in it but Wiggly didn't suffer as much from the heat as I feared (unlike the Vizsla).

For sure, Primoz Rauter makes some great gear. I like the fact that Stefan's design integrates a collar and is also quite minimalist ( an advantage of the Rudemeister design too).

Design info as follows.........

" After a long, and very intensive development and testing phase, our collar/ harness combination is now available. We have developed this harness especially for dachshunds and terriers. Due to the unique combination of collar and harness, it combines the advantages of both. It offers the control of a collar and the strain relief of a harness. For us the ideal solution for working on the red track".

I can really recommend Niggelohs harness, used it for many years on my tracking dog. Suits very well and they have a good movement while working. I let him have on also when I let's him do the free work when the tracked animal runs up from its hide.

Interested to see that yours has slipped (rotated around the body slightly). Yesterday, my Vizslas one had gone 90 degrees because I had slackened off the fit underneath as I thought it was too tight. For the Teckel, I prefer Primoz's jacket and for very warm weather, I have one of his collars too that takes the GPS. That's not good for a trailing line but candidly, that's main use on mine is to slow him down!

I have have it a bit lose, but it's easy to adjust, I mostly have a protection or signal vest under but warm days just the harness.

Tracking collar also works well, I have never been using only collar or only harness while training, because I want him to track regardless a regular 2meter dogleash, tracking collar, harness or without any stuff. IMG_20190529_042609_387.webp
