Tracking system for Teckels

Not long went with Dogtra Pathfinder mini 2

(Dogtra Pathfinder 2 Mini)

for my Teckel bitch, so far it's been excellent does everything it says on the tin, transmitter and collar don't seem to faise the dog at all, business as usual as if its not even on there, could certainly recommend as alternative system to Garmin, Ian (GoThermal) on here is the chap to go to for the Dogtra gear, very helpful chap.

Just to clarify here. The Teckel tracks deer on a lead and at 12 months has done really well I use her beating and she has been spot on, my issue is she has put her nose down on fox and gone, I do like a good old ratch about in the fells, so when the inevitable happens, would like to get her back
The Garmin mini collars should be okay - even for 7-8 kg teckels but we have also used Tractive and they are good for what they cost and very, very light and small. I would just be cautious about using one dog on a multitude of game. I allowed ours to bush/flush cover after we had done their tracking training - purely because I wanted to know how each 'naturally' performed in all areas. I would never allow a deer dog the pleasure of hunting other game - I know plenty do but you are forever in the arena of compromise.

I use a small tracker from Safer pet, but there is a subscription. It works very well on my little horror and is linked by GPS to your phone, been a boon on some occasions when she has gone walkabout.
