Traveling to Spain

I’m looking at hunting a Chamois in Spain, but would like to hunt it with my K95, can anyone give me any guidance on travelling to Spain with a rifle and ammo post Brexit?

your guide should be able to help you out with that but for what its worth I would imagine you will need, FAC, letter of invite from the PH/guide and probably insurance.

I have just had a quick search and I dont think its looking great. Without a EFC it is impossible to take your guns, i could be wrong.

You can take your rifle, it’s a bit of a faff that entails an approved translator to certify a copy of your FAC, there is a list supplied and it is relatively inexpensive, and then you have to visit an embassy or consulate who will sort your permit.

I used the Edinburgh consulate, if you PM an email address and I can send the info on Monday.

Which type of chamois are you hunting? Good choice of rifle

I forgot to mention the consulate was very helpful, plenty of non EU citizens hunt Spain every year with their own rifles.

Take a look at our post travelling to Spain and our hunts available. We now hunt chamois with K95 also, great rifle. Our in 270win.
