Trophy imports ban

Looking at where this is inevitably leading, I am only happy that I managed to bring back some trophies from my African jaunt.

I am extremely unhappy that a mere fraction of our shooting community managed to protest about this infringement of our sport.

I think must people can’t see the woods from the trees! They don’t realise the environmental impact this will have in Africa.

Wonder if the customs types will get excited over a couple of Boar tusks??
Just pierce a bit of your body, poke them through, and call them fashion accessories. Anything goes these days, and you can claim discrimination against your style if anyone pulls you up over it.

This policy won’t make any difference to the fate of endangered species, the amount of big game hunted whether it be in Africa or the stans is minimal and highly regulated.

I doubt the number of people from the UK hunting abroad will diminish, in fact people will now have more money to spend on hunting.

After a hiatus from hunting abroad due to all the COVID crap I headed to Spain and I took a really old cantabrian chamois and an ancient gold medal gredos ibex in October. My 10 year old son accompanied me and whilst we may not get the trophies I will still have the photos and memories.
