It wont be on an estate so thats not an option.
To do it myself id need a big pan, gas and a burner, a 100mtr hose and power for a jetwash away from the house or else she'll kill me and a it of knowhow.
So rather than the expense and hastle I'd prefer to contract out the job.

I have never tried a burco so can’t speak from personal experience but having tried a variety of pans on a gas ring in the garage over the years I’ve found that anything circular means the antlers hold the top of the skull cap annoyingly just above the water line. As few years ago I found someone locally selling one of those old tin laundry type buckets (the sort that would probably now be planted up with something in a chic and trendy fashion…)I think bushwear still sell burco boilers. They will take a long nose red skull.
I similarly have a lozenge shaped long boiling pan (ex army field kitchen type one) and agree with you on this - holds the antlers at a nice angle without faffing about with string/wire to hold in correct position.I have never tried a burco so can’t speak from personal experience but having tried a variety of pans on a gas ring in the garage over the years I’ve found that anything circular means the antlers hold the top of the skull cap annoyingly just above the water line. Being oblong in shape really helps the skull sit at a better angle and gets a good boil without having such a vast container full of water to heat up.
Another trick I discovered is to place a brick or two in the bottom, less water volume to maintain boil and retains heat well.
Most of your industrial suppliers still stock burro boilersOut of interest, are Burco boilers still on the go and will they take a full skull stag?
I’ve had skulls done by taxidermists before and don’t begrudge the cost because it’s a rank job. I’ve done up to a fallow in a big pan but you need a serious size for a stag.
Think as a one off, a taxidermist for a good job makes sense. If doing more, I’m going to look into a boiler for it so that I can do them outdoors.. saves grief
Is it? If you live in a flat or apartment in a city????Anything is possible!
